Mission Statement

The Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Board is the government agency that administers and regulates the state licensing program for real estate appraisers.  Our mission is to serve and protect the public interest in all real estate appraisal related activities.  We accomplish this through the

• Fair and equitable administration and enforcement of the Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Law (LSA-R.S. 37:3391-3413)

• Development of education programs that promote advancement of the real estate appraisal industry

• Adoption of regulations and standards that reinforce the role of the real estate appraiser in performing objective and impartial appraisals.
