General certified real estate appraiser means a person who holds a current, valid license issued to him by the board for appraisal of all types of real estate regardless of complexity or transaction value.
Education Criteria - 300 hours of AQB required Core Curriculum courses as listed here AND a Bachelors Degree or higher OR 30 semester credit hours in the following courses: English Composition; Micro Economics; Macro Economics; Finance; Algebra, Geometry or higher math; Statistics; Computer Science; Business or Real Estate Law; and two (2) elective courses in accounting, geography, ag-economics, business management, or real estate.
Experience Criteria - A minimum of 5000 hours of appraisal experience in no fewer than 36 months is required. The maximum allowable credit that shall be applied toward the experience requirement in a 12-month period is 1700 hours.
Examination Criteria - The education and testing requirements for a license as a General Certified Real Estate Appraiser must be satisfied prior to submission of the application for experience review.
