General certified real estate appraiser means a person who holds a current, valid license issued to him by the board for appraisal of all types of real estate regardless of complexity or transaction value.
Education Criteria - 300 hours of AQB required Core Curriculum courses as listed here AND a Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Experience Criteria - A minimum of 3000 hours of appraisal experience in no fewer than 30 months is required. The maximum allowable credit that shall be applied toward the experience requirement in a 12-month period is 1000 hours.
Examination Criteria - The education and experience review for a license as a General Certified Real Estate Appraiser must be satisfied prior to submission of the application for testing.
